Ding! This 2021 vintage of Adrice Wines’ J2 Cab Franc delivers a 1-2 punch of BIG CHERRIES & BLACK FRUIT right off the ropes. No matter how hard you try to duck, dive and dodge this fruit-forward punch…..your eyes widen as J-Squared envelops your nose with cherries, black fruit, and black currants…and a warm spice-box nose. Ding – Round 2. Don’t hesitate out of the corner! Embrace J-Squared’s mouthwatering acidity on the front palate, and a mouthful of blackberries, black currants, herbs, and a spicy finish. “Would you like a little sweet paprika to finish off the round?” asks the ring girl as she whisks past you. “Whew, what did I just get hit with?” you ask yourself as you stumble back to your rickety stool in the corner. You’ll blink hard twice, shake out the cobwebs, and reflect on J-Squared’s all-around balance, strength, and grace. There’s no getting past her! Ready for another round? If so…tighten up those laces and step into the ring again.
She’s a TOTAL WINNER…and will sell out quickly. How do we know? She comes from good stock out in Walla, Walla, WA…and her older sister, our 2020 vintage won Gold and 94-points in the 2023 Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition. When that was announced…we sold out in less than a month.
With all her verve, we’d pair J-Squared with Mediterranean chicken piccata with green olives, a ratatouille, or grilled pork-fennel sausages with polenta and tapenade. Or…just a simple yet elegant bowl of homemade French Onion soup with extra melted Gruyère cheese on the top!
