As you pour a glass of this sultry elixir – you’ll immediately notice its deep marionberry color and nose of sugarplum and violets. After a few aerating swirls, Étouffant displays stilt-like legs hinting to its bold structure and age worthiness. Don't worry though...you'll never manage to cellar this beauty for too long as it's just too good not to enjoy now! Your palate will awaken with black cherry, cedar & incense, and black fruits that will last long on your mid-palette. A bit higher in tannins that her sister - if you're willing to let her rest for a year or two....this beauty will surely be an award winner too! Pair with meatloaf, roasted pork loin or beef stew...or go all out and serve pan-seared duck breast with blueberry sauce!
