With the November 2022 release of Adrice Wines’ 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – we proudly unveil our “vertical” of 2017, 2018 and now 2019 Reserve Cabs – the ones that “DO NOT SUCK”. The remaining few bottles of our gorgeous cooler-year 2017 Reserve Cab starts the vertical for our Scholar wine club members. Technically, our 2018 JB Cab equates to our “Reserve Cab” that year – Pam just renamed it JB Cab to surprise Julie with her own wine – but it’s our 2018 100% Quintessence Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (the middle wine in this vertical). And now – the brand new 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – another “DOES NOT SUCK” 100% Red Mountain / Quintessence Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon rounds out our first vertical release.
All wine club members will receive the new 2019 Reserve Cab. Disciples get a short vertical of 2019 and 2018 JB Cab. Scholars get the full vertical of ’17, ’18 and ’19 Red Mountain Reserve Cabs. A few remaining bottles of 2017 Reserve are available to club members upon request so that they can complete their vertical!
There’s honestly nothing like a Red Mountain Cab from Washington. EVERYONE visits the tasting room with a keen eye out for Red Mountain grapes – and we’re so grateful to have a strong relationship with the folks at Quintessence Vineyard on Red Mountain – Thank you! We couldn’t make many of our awesome wines without you!
Cab lovers are greeted with that typical “Red Mountain Nose” of moist black dirt covered by fluffy soil and minerality. Some call it “fruity dirt”. Whatever you call it – you can totally pick up the earthiness of the Red Mountain Soil in this gorgeous 2019 Reserve. Just past the soil qualities on the nose – smell sweet berry pie in the oven, vanilla, spice box, and a tich of sweet cigar smoke. Let’s figure out how to turn this one into a candle!
On the palate, the ’19 Reserve Cab has a juicy acidity that causes your mouth to water – and well-integrated soft tannins. Look for lots of ripe, juicy black plum balanced with a tich of cranberry and black cherry, and a nice, dry, long finish of Mocha and Vanilla. THIS is what a “DOES NOT SUCK” Washington Cab is supposed to be!
This elegant wine can be paired with so much food-wise: a Charcuterie board of cured meats, fig jam, and dried cranberries; Beef Short Ribs; or a marbled Rib Eye steak smothered in Chimichurri. And you’ll be surprised how well it pairs with creamy cheeses like a Burrata Caprese Salad.
Enjoy this stunning 2019 Adrice Wines Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s our 4th vintage – and this one too DOES NOT SUCK!
