Bring on Summer…and bring on Adrice Wines’ second vintage of Dolcetto – the rare Italian grape knows as “the little sweet one”. Winemaker Pam loves working with Italian varietals because they respond so well to her winemaking style – clean, simple…let the grape speak for itself. And BOY…does this “little one” have a voice! (In a sweet voice, the style of Aretha Franklin:) “HELLO…I’m BACK! Pull out a wine glass and fill it up with ME!”
The “little sweet one” displays a perfumy nose of sweet violets, plum, and a little sweet cocoa. In your mouth, let her complex, rich, ripe dark fruits of plum and blackberry cascade over your tongue and down your throat gracing you with a lovely, long finish. That same sweet voice whispers….“See…I told you so…you should have bought more bottles to stash away and unveil during the darkest days of winter!!!”
