Coming out of a global pandemic, we most often hear people talking about searching for ways to bring back the “JOY” in their lives.  Why not grab a bottle of Adrice Wines’ third vintage of beautiful 2020 Alegría and share it with your friends?  Swirl a healthy pour in your glass, and you’re immediately greeted with floral notes of Rosemary and Lavender – followed by wafts of red fruit and vanilla/oak qualities so typical of a Grenache-predominant wine.  In the glass, note the deep ruby color with translucent edges – indicating a medium-bodied wine that will age well.  Notice a smile creeping up on your face – that’s the start of JOY we tell you!

On the palate, this fruit-forward wine dances back and forth in your mid-palate between strawberry fruit leather, and half-ripe plum – finishing with dark fruit notes brought to you by the Petit Verdot and Merlot.  Behind that nice, long, dry finish – look for notes of black cherry long after you finish your swallow.  Do you feel it?  That’s Alegría!

Alegría pairs well with all types of food – from soft cheeses, to sushi, to pizza, to red meats.  Consider a glass with a light balsamic-drizzled Caprese salad.  She’ll pair beautifully with hearty dishes like cassoulet and will match well with less spicy styles of Asian cooking.
