Another new label? Another new Varietal? Pam & Julie surely couldn’t make the beautiful wines we do and run Adrice Wines without the help of the amazing family of friends we have. When folks really “lean in” to help us out – we either have to pull them out of a bin of fermenting grapes (that was a joke – no human has ever fallen into any bin of grapes (but a certain winery dog has…))….or they get a label named in their honor! Two amazing friends – Jill and Julie (hence the J-Squared label) have been invaluable friends, arms, leg, muscles, and hearts for Adrice wines for many years now - and we can’t thank them enough for their love and support. Here’s to Julie & Jill – J-Squared!
Give your glass a good robust swirl and take a big whiff of J-Squared to see if you LOVE the nose as much as we do! Do you get sweet red spicy pepper? We do! Add to that, beautiful ripe red fruit (berry, strawberry, red plum) on the nose…and we knew we had a winner in J2. We can’t think of another wine we’ve ever smelled like this! That spiciness and red fruit carries through on the palate (like those two spicey women) with ripe, juicy strawberry, red currant, cola, fig, and fresh fennel. The higher acidity gives the wine lots of juicy fruit with a dry moderate finish so typical of Cab Franc.
Another gorgeous Adrice wine that’s food friendly – J2 pairs well with both soft -or- hard cheeses like Camembert or Manchego. Looking for a meal? Smokey BBQ, Vegetable Lasagna, Lentil Soup, or Tenderloin with Chimichurri should pair perfectly with J-Squared.
